I finally found some time and mood to blog...
Theres a nice cool breeze blowing right through my room now..
Its only 930pm n i have the luxury of lazing on my bed and soaking in the cool breeze..
Usually on most any other normal weekday, I'd either still be out teaching the kids or be outside hanging out with my girlfriends/boyfriend.

Its been nearly 5mths of work life now.
Though I still hate the idea of waking up at 7+am to go to work.. (i shud count myself lucky already), I'm steadily growing accustomed to waking up at 7+am..
With the kick start of the recent project, work has been keeping me fairly busy. Don't wanna create any major design errors and I really cross my fingers that most things will turn out right. To err is human right. haha.

I can't believe time passes by so quickly.. we're aging quickly as well..
I can still remember how not long ago it was that I had my first interview that led me to my job.
Now, its nearly one year already. Baby's heading over to London for training mid next year for a few months. Guess mid next year will approach really soon too. Can I just stop time from zapping past so quickly for a while?

I feel like there are so many things I wanna do before I hit 30.. Gosh the sound of 30.. really puts me off.. -_-" Well, by next year i'd b nearly halfway there already :(

its been a while..

Its been a while since i've last blogged, since I last had a huge argument with my mom, since I last had old sch fishball mee pok tt tastes so good, since I had my favourite double choc muffin + orange juice and since I last met my ex-colleagues frm my internship company..

I would say this Saturday was abit different from the norm..
Today marked the last lesson i had with my sec 4 girl whom i've been teaching for 2 years now. I really hope she'd be able to ace her Maths in the O levels. My Sat mornings are officially free!!! Which means I can finally zzz till any time I want from now on. :D It was an unusual morning. Woke up at 9am automatically n hopped onto the bus at 11am. When I reached my girl's bus stop, WOW i saw this huge huge huge queue outside the Shell Petrol station. AND upon closer peek at the signboard.. PETROL FOR $1/LITRE!!! Holy Cow! That explained the long queue la! And only frm 10am-6pm! I wonder how pple gt to knw abt it. I nv hear Shell advertising their $1 petrol on radio/TV/newspaper lo. Anw, I was quite determined to fill my car up with $1 petrol. Getting a gd deal makes me feel.. mmmm... GOOD. :D

After lessons, I had really old sch local delights at a hawker centre nearby.. duck rice + fishball mee nv tasted so tasty and good! They were delectible! yumyum. And I only discovered this heck of a place after nearly 2 years. How wasted!!! :( So baby and I went to T2 of airport after that to do some studying. YEAH STUDYING. I'm outta the education system and I'm still studying! :P Anw the Starbucks at T2 was revamped during God Knows when.. the hard wooden seats have made way for the plush sofas and as usual, it was FULL of muggers (muggles). I reckoned tt nobody wld be leaving the cafe soon.. so we walked back to Coffee Bean and that was where I had the double choc muffin + orange juice. Made a gd desert after my lunch!! MMMMMM.. :D bt made me too tired to even have the mood to study..

So at 4+, me n baby took a bus home.. n i brought the car out to the nearest Shell Petrol station to get her filled with the $1 petrol. We queued for like 40mins?! And saw the sign "98 OUT OF STOCK" "30 MINUTES REMAINING" Adrenaline pumped. M i gonna be in time for the $1 promo? And finally!!! PETROL!!! Pumped the car till full tank.. I saved abt $20+ on the petrol. hiak hiak. :D Went home feeling really satisfied. i got $1 petrol!!!

HAHA.. okay I should stop going on abt the $1 petrol.. Anw.. after having dinner with my mom and my bro.. we both gt a call frm an ex colleague to join them at their BBQ at east coast chalet that was going on already. Bro wanted to head home and study.. bt I changed his mind in the end. hahaha.. I was greeted by many familiar faces.. it really felt so comfortable and nostalgic in some sense. The people whom i used to work so closely with and had so much fun time with.. they were all there.. it really felt like "home again". Had so much fun catching up with everyone.. Jackson was going ard asking pple to sing K and drink the wine.. HAHAHHA hes a very funny guy. And of cuz part of the greater fun came frm having new found revelations. Revelations about my unglam photos 2 years back.. and.. something I never noticed/know until today. :D

Down here, I would like to congratulate and wish the couples in my internship company who're getting married really soon with all the bliss, hope n love in the world! :) And also to the special couple who maybe planning marriage down the pipeline soon.. hehe.. ;)

Uh well, just to summarize.. the company camp was super fun. Made many friends across different departments and it really felt like orientation at school all over gain. Minus cheering, gross forfeits, boy girl matching. (I guess it would have been better if it were tad longer) :) *updates later*

Its getting late now.. and i knw i must be livin in the mountains.. bt gossip girl is keeping me very occupied every night right now. This teen flick seriously reminds me of Sweet Valley High that I loved to read when I was in secondary sch.. Blair Waldorf being like Lila Fowler and Serena van der Woodson like Jessica Wakefield. I cant get enough of Gossip Girl.. (partly cuz of the clothes they wear)

And after what seemed like a long long time.. we finally met up for sunday lunch at FishnCo Parkway to celebrate szes bday :)

the weekly monday update

Its Monday again!
By right, I should have completed my weekly 2km jog after work.. but i skipped today's session since I'd be going running this Friday at AFS. I'm quite determined to hit 3km (i.e. running 7 rounds around the AFS stadium) I hope I'd be able to reach my target of 3km. But I shall not force myself to complete the 7 rounds either.. LOL~ I don't wanna end up throwing up/cramping/fainting during the run.. Haha .. not running today was really a damn big fat excuse.. I was jus feeling too lazy to run.. (bt I have my mind set on doing the 10km Stand Chart marathon nxt yr) haha..

This week.. is another happening week..
I've orientation for nearly a full day this week and the Active Day on Friday. I've got beach vball at Siloso Beach this Saturday! All hail plenty of sun and gd weather! :D *does the sun dance for saturday* I'm seriously excited over playing vball and soaking in some sun. I'd like my tan colour back~ :P Talking abt sun dance reminds me of the movie "The Proposal" cuz the grandma was doing some tribal dance in the movie.. haha i think its a damn heart warming movie and I think its really on par with one of the best romance/comedy movies I've watched the past 10 years. 50 first dates and The Hot Chick are definitely one of my favourites. :D

Other than beach vball this coming Saturday.. I plan to watch Coco avant Chanel at the cinema with baby this Friday evening. I hope I'm able to get the $8 tickets at Cathay. I realized I overspent the last weekend.. ($90 in 3 days) OMG. that seriously burnt a huge hole in my pocket. =7 I need to do some scrimping n saving. Yup .. so a dose of sports .. and $8 tickets and prolly lower budget dinners should be able to contribute to my save $ plan for this week.. haha

The last Saturday.. me and the uni friends and baby met up for some prawning at Bishan. Nearly everybody came in couples.. haha :D ming n gf, zcnmh, fionna n bf, joycelyn n bf, me n baby, cw n jerome n yani pangsehed linda.. :P

Prawning was really fun.. it was one of the activities that you won't do normally.
We paid $30 for 3hours for 1 rod. Caught like 13 prawns? (Inclusive of 1 huge king prawn)
I think we were pretty lucky.. according to my friend.. that was about the norm.. like 4-5 prawns an hour was considered normal.. quite a few of my prawns got away.. they nibbled on my bait.. tugged on the bait.. n swam away.. lucky for them.. they had another min to live.

Super fun it was.. ( the excitement when the prawn is caught successfully )

The excitement and fun I felt during the entire prawning process turned to guilt and remorse when these innocent looking prawns were rounded up and ready to be processed and cooked. These prawns were still alive and kicking.. (though they were alr made partially handicapped while we smashed and disposed away their pincers upon being caught for the fear of being injured).. and then they were pierced thru using a satay stick, rubbed with salt and then bbq-ed. I shall spare the details in my writing .. i think it'll only make me feel more remorseful. I alr feel like becoming a vegetarian. :P

Anw.. till date.. I'm still feeling remorseful.. and i don't think I will ever go prawning again. :P minus this emo side.. it was a really great gathering with everybody and it was really fun! Can't wait for the nxt gathering again :D

Its gonna be the weekend !
I'm always looking forward to the weekend.. :)
Its been a good week so far.. the week seemed to have zoomed past this week as compared to the past few weeks... hahaha
I got to see sunset at office and the sky was a really pretty pinkish blue. I can still recall that image very vividly in my head. Its just a pity that I couldn't take a snapshot of the sky at that point of time due to the no camera restriction. Me, a colleague and one of my superiors were the last to leave as we had to rush certain FATs out. The entire course of FAT was so draining. I had a headache aft that. We also helped to do slides for our boss for our orientation in a few weeks time. HaHa.. he wanted us to express our personal thoughts of the department down to share with all the other new engineers. The slides started with a very casual tone.. den after rounds and rounds of vetting by our colleagues and ourselves.. it became.. more n more "correct". LOL!

Went to teach 4 sec 1s maths today cuz I had to relief this other teacher
There were 3 girls and this regular student of mine.
Sometimes I feel that teaching tuition brings back the "student" part of me.
Me and the girls were talking abt Lady GaGa and how male/female she is while going thru the answers.. and the girls started freaking each other out after they started scaring each other with ghost stories. HAHAHA.. seriously.. it just brought back memories on how I used to do this with Van, Lynn and Hons when we were sec1s sec2s. oh gosh. Its been 10yrs ever since.

Tomorrow, me and my colleagues will be hanging out after work. And I have a packed weekend ahead with my friends :)

Grumpy Monday

Ok I'm not having as bad a Monday blues I was expecting to have..
But I seriously gt more n more grumpy after work ended.
As usual, that particular security guard at the company gate ALWAYS loves to check my bag, handphone, etc when I finish work. He never fails to check my belongings more than once a week. Like how many times must he check my E51 and realize that there isn't any SD card in there? How many times must he ask me to open my bag to find that theres no illegal stuff? Open every single compartment even where the sanitary pads are to realize that theres nthing? I think hes just doing it on purpose *hmph* =7 I think he sees me enough times a week to even memorize my employee pass no. alr! And he can still read the 4 digits wrongly today !!! URRGGHH. I swear hes doing it on purpose !!!!! SO IRRITATING!!!

Urgh! Nvm.. other than that security guard who nv fails to make me roll my eyes and spoil my day, the bus uncle was another irritant. OMG! Uncle was driving so slowly and carefully, it felt like the bus would never ever have gotten the chance to drive outta the bus stop. -_-" And I could only see my bus 55 driving further and further away when he was just behind bus 55 to start with. Seriously -_-" HE DIDNT EVEN DARE TO FILTER OUT INTO THE BUS LANE AT EVENING PEAK HR WHEN THE BUS LANE WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY AND HAD NO SIGNS OF ANY VEHICLE APPROACHING. -_-" What the FISH!

Anw I was lucky enough cuz the next 55 came moments after I hopped out of that bus. I then went running. Unluckily enough, I did my leg stretching in the lift while it was descending and it suddenly stopped with a loud thud. Like BOOM. WOW. I swear I thought I was doomed cuz I had no hp to call for help and the door wouldnt open at the level where it had stopped. Good thing it could open when I made it ascend back to my floor again. I ran 2 rounds around the VJ area to get my immunity system gg again (and also to prepare for Active Day next Fri at AFS) OK, I just remembered that I'm extremely pissed with the postman as well. I've online shopped the past week and have had 2 packages mailed to me last week. Of 4 that was supposed to reach, only 2 arrived. The other 2 are MISSING! I'm really starting to suspect the postman. Maybe he gt so sick n tired of coming up to my house so often just to pass anybody thats at home my bulky packages that cant squeeze into the small postbox that he decided to just THROW THEM AWAY. HAHAHAHAHA.. Or just bring my beautiful tops and dresses home for his gf/wife as a present. -_-" OK, I'm gg crazy. Anw, thats ard $50+ worth of stuff missing! And I'm gonna complain to the PO tmw. Its becoming very unbecoming of the postal service.

Right.. I'm not quite done ranting yet. I'm still grumpy. The one final thing I would like to rant about to release all my negative energy would be.. WHY DO WE ALWAYS FEEL THAT WE'RE DONE FOR IN AN INTERVIEW WHEN IT WENT SEEMINGLY SMOOTH ENOUGH. Is it just human instinct? Or is it just that we're being over humble.. ANW

Enough ranting! Its time for me to look forward to the next day.
